Jesey Trolleys in the Mid Century &
Lehigh Valley Transit in the Twilight Years
In this Double Feature,
we first see “Garden State Trolleys
During the Mid Century.”
Al Creamer, was an early member of the
NRHS North Jersey Chapter and Official with
Public Service. He filmed many Trolley Lines
in the 1940’s and 50’s during
his time with Public Service.
In this Double Feature, we first see “Garden
State Trolleys During the Mid Century”
which include Hudson County’s Bergen
Line Avenue Trolley, the Hoboken EL Trolley,
the Steep Grade to Weehawken Trolley and
trolleys to Western Electric. Then we have
Essex County’s Central Ave. Trolley,
Main Street, Bloomfield Avenue Trolley and
the PCC Trolley taken over the #7 Subway.
In the second feature “Lehigh Valley
Transit in the Twilight Years” we
travel between Easton, Bethlehem and Allentown,
then down to the 69th Street Terminal and
Upper Darby(Philadelphia) on the fast and
rural Liberty Limited Trolley.
